Ingredients
- 4 T butter, room temperature
- 1 pkg (10 oz) chopped onions
- 1 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 T chopped parsley
- 1 pkg hot roll mix
- 1 cup hot water
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp cracked pepper
- 1 pkg yeast
- 3/4 tsp poppy seeds
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Melt 2 T butter, add onions and cook about 4 minutes. Reduce heat and cook until golden (5 minutes). Cool 20 minutes.
Stir in cheese and parsley. Stir together hot roll mix, yeast packet, hot water, 1 egg, pepper and remianing butter. Knead until smooth; cover and let rest 5 minutes.
Coat large pan with spray. Cover with plastic wrap. Cut dough into 3 strips; spread with onion; brush edge with water, roll up and seal. Braid and brush with egg.
Cook for 30 minutes.
