Butter Cookies

Ingredients

• 1.1 /2 C Sugar
• 1 C Butter, Softened
• 1 Egg
• 1 tsp Vanilla
• 3 C Flour
• 2 tsp Cream of Tartar
• 1 tsp Baking Soda

Preparation

Step 1

Bake 400º

In a large mixer bowl, combine
sugar, butter, and egg. Beat at
medium speed until light and fluffy
scraping bowl often (3-5 min).
Reduce speed to low to add all
remaining ingredients, continue
beating, scraping bowl often
until well mixed (1-2 min).
Roll into small to medium size
balls. Place on cookie sheet
2 inches apart and bake 7-10 mins
or until outer edges are light brown.
