Ingredients
- 2 cups whole milk
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup butter
- 2 pkg yeast (1 1/2 T)
- 1/2 cup water 105*-115*
- 7 cup flour
- 2 lg eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter
Preparation
Step 1
-Heat milk, sugar and butter to 105-115*.
-Mix yeast with warm water and let stand for 5 min.
-Add yeast to milk mixture.
-Combine yeast/milk mixture with 1 cup of flour.
-In large bowl, mix 6 cups of flour and salt.
-Start to stir liquid into flour, 1-2 cups at a time.
-Mix well, cover tightly and refrigerate overnight.
-Take dough out of the frig and bring to room temperature.(2-2 1/2 hours)
-Knead 5-7 minutes, shape, rise and brush w/ butter.
-Bake @400* for 12-15 min
