Ingredients
- 1 cup prosciutto
- 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup vodka
- 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 lb penne pasta
- 1 pint heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chopped basil
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- Fresh ground pepper and salt to taste
Preparation
Step 1
In a large pan saute garlic and add prosciutto over medium heat for about 1 to 2 minutes.
Stir in crushed tomatoes and add salt and pepper to taste and basil. Simmer about 20 minutes.
Stir in vodka and cook 15 more minutes.
While the sauce is simmering, bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook pasta according to package directions. Drain. Set aside.
Stir cream into sauce and cook 10 minutes more.
Add to cooked pasta.
