Breads: Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients

  • 4 4 4 cups sugar
  • 1 1 1 cup oil
  • 5 5 5 cups plain flour
  • 4 4 4 t baking soda
  • 1 1 1 T each: cloves, cinnamon, salt
  • 2 2 2 cans pumpkin. (Tricia used baked pumpkin*).
  • 1 1 1 cup raisins
  • 2 2 2 cups chopped walnuts

Preparation

Step 1

Mix sugar and oil together. Sift dry ingredients and add sugar and oil. Mix. It will be dry. Add pumpkin, nuts and raisins. Mix until well blended. Pour into 3 large loaf pans, greases and bottoms lined with wax paper. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted in center.
