Ingredients
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 3 eggs yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1 1/3 cups flaked coconut

Step 1
Combine evaporated milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter & vanilla in small saucepan. Cook & stir over medium heat until thick, about 12 minutes. Stir in coconut & pecans. Beat until thick enough to spread.
This is the best icing, even though I cheat & make the German chocolate cake from a mix. But then, the icing makes the cake. Enjoy.
