  • 3 MEDIUM ONIONS, CHOPPED
  • 2 CUPS SLICED MUSHROOMS
  • 6 GARLIC CLOVES, MINCED
  • 2 14 1/2 OZ CANS DICED TOMATOES, UNDRAINED
  • 29 OZ CAN TOMATO SAUCE
  • 12 OZ CAN TOMATO PASTE
  • 2 TBSP DRIED BASIL
  • 1 TBSP DRIED OREGANO
  • 1 TBSP SUGAR
  • 1 TSP SALT
  • 1/2 TSP CRUSHED RED PEPPER FLAKES

Preparation

Step 1

1 COOK SAUSAGE, ONIONS, MUSHROOMS, AND GARLIC IN SKILLET OVER MEDIUM HEAT FOR 10 MINUTES. DRAIN TRANSFER TO SLOW COOKER

2 STIR IN REMAINING INGREDIENTS

3 COVER. COOK ON LOW 8-9 HOURS

*THIS SAUCE IS ALSO A GOOD SAUCE TO USE IN LASAGNA*
