Ingredients
- 1 lb farmer cheese
- 1 1/2 cups sour cream (3/4 container)
- 1 8 oz container whipped cream cheese
- 6 eggs,separated
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 Tbs vanilla sugar
- 1 1/2 cups sugar,divided
- 3 9"round graham cracker pie shells
- 3 Tbs flour,heaping
- SOUR CREAM TOPPING
- 1 1/2 cups sour cream (3/4 container)
- 1 Tbs vanilla sugar
- 1 Tbs sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350.
In a large bowl,using a spoon,mix farmer cheese,sour cream,and cream cheese. Add egg yolks,orange juice,vanilla sugar,and 3/4 cup sugar. Mix until incorporated. Add flour.
In a mixer,beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gradually add the remaining 3/4 cup sugar.
Fold beaten whites into the cheese mixture. Divide filling between the 3 pie shells.
Bake for 40 min. The cheese cakes should be slightly golden on the edges.
You can use reduced fat cream cheese and sour cream. You can make this in a Pyrex baking dish or a springform pan.
To prepare topping,combine sour cream and sugars.
Remove cheese cakes from oven and let cool.
While the cake is still warm swirl the topping and divide it for the 3 cakes. With the back of a spoon swirl topping starting from the center across the top and cover the whole thing.
This can be served with Dulce Le Leche or chocolate syrup drizzled over it.
