Extra Strong Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Milk
  • 1 / 2 cup Good quality semisweet chocolate chips or
  • 1/2 cup Broken chocolate bits
  • 2 Tbsp. Ground chocolate powder (Ghirardelli)
  • Brandy or cognac if you prefer

Preparation

Step 1

Using a good saucepan over very gentle heat, mix all ingredients and whisk until smooth. As the chocolate chips melt, it will get a bit sticky, but continue to whisk over gentle heat and everything will melt perfectly.

Heat a bit more to a hot drinking temperature (but not too hot) and remove from heat.

Serve in demitasse cups - very very strong

Use whipped cream - not marshmellows

If too strong or too sweet, add a bit of milk & continue whisking

If too creamy, add a bit of water and whisk.

Do not use BOTH ground chocolate & the cocoa/sugar mixture
