Ingredients

  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 t. baking soda
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 t. vanilla
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 c. chopped marshino cherries (red and green)

Preparation

Step 1

1. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Set aside.

2. Cream together butter, brown sugar and vanilla

3. Beat in eggs til light and fluffy.

4. Stir in dry ingredients and chopped nuts.

5. Stir in cherries.

6. Shape dough into a roll, about 2" in diameter. Wrap in wax paper and chill 4 hours.

7. Cut dough in 1/4" slices and bake on greased cookie sheet, 5-7 minutes til light golden on edges.
