French Toast with Bourbon

Ingredients

• 4 slices texas toast
• 1 cup cream
• 2 eggs
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1/4 cup bourbon
• 1/2 tsp nutmeg
• zest of 1 orange
• 1/4 cup clarified butter

Preparation

Step 1

Whisk the eggs and sugar together then whisk in the cream.

Add the bourbon, nutmeg, and orange zest. Mix well.

Soak the bread for about 1 minute until well saturated.

Heat a skillet over medium heat and add clarified butter.

Brown both sides.

If needed, continue cooking in a 350 degree oven until done.

Serve with toppings of your choice.
