Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 large onion - chopped
  • 1/2 C celery - chopped
  • 1 - 6 oz. can tomato paste
  • 1/4 C bell pepper - chopped
  • 2 tbs. minced garlic
  • 1/4 C parsley
  • 2 lbs shrimp
  • 1 tsp + salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • dash of Tabasco

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter, fry onions and celery. Add can of tomato paste, fry till grease comes to top. Add bell peppers, garlic, parsley and shrimp. Cook till shrimp are pink. Add 2 cups water. Cook about 40 minutes.
Add 6 + cups of cooked rice (2+cups dry).
