Ingredients

    cups sugar

  • ¼

    cup water

  • 1

    cup cream

  • ½

    stick butter

Directions

In a heavy bottomed saucepan, wet the sugar down with the water. Over medium-high heat bring to a boil and cook until sugar turns a caramel color. Take off the heat and carefully pour in the cream - this will boil violently so be very careful while stirring the cream in. Add the butter and allow to cool.
