Buttermilk Pecan Pie

  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter and sugar, adding 1/2 cup sugar at a time. Blend in vanilla, add whole eggs, one at a time, mixing well each time. Combine flour and salt, add small amount at a time to butter, sugar and egg mixture. Mix well, add buttermilk, blending entire mixture well. Sprinkle pecans in 9 inch unbaked pie shell and pour custard mix over them. Bake in preheated oven at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
