Ingredients
- 2 pounds hash brown frozen potatoes Edit Delete
- 2 ) 1 sticks butter, save out 2 or 3 T. for topping Edit Delete
- 3 ) 1 teaspoon salt Edit Delete
- 4 ) 1/4 teaspoon pepper Edit Delete
- 5 ) 1/4 cup chopped onions Edit Delete
- 6 ) 1 (16 oz.) container sour cream Edit Delete
- 7 ) 1 can cream of chicken soup Edit Delete
- 8 ) 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese Edit Delete
- 9 ) 1 1/4 cups crushed corn flakes
Preparation
Step 1
Combine thawed potatoes with melted butter, salt and pepper. Add onions, soup (as is), sour cream and cheese. Mix well. Place in a 9 x 13 inch casserole dish. Cover with corn flakes and melted butter. Bake in 350 degree oven for about 45 to 50 minutes (until potatoes are tender). Bake uncovered. Makes large servings.
