Ingredients
- 6 strips bacon
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. diced turnips
- 2 c. white corn
- 2 c. whipping cream
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper

Step 1
Fry bacon until crisp. Pour off all but 2 tablespoons bacon fat. Saute onion and celery until tender. Add water and turnips - simmer until tender (15-20 minutes). Add remaining ingredients and reheat. DO NOT BOIL. Top with crumbled bacon. Makes 4-5 servings.
