Light Bread Rolls

Momma got this recipe from Margaret Harvey (a cousin) a long time ago. Anytime Momma has made a "special" meal for me, it was these rolls and her Potato Soup. What a feast!!

Ingredients
- 2 c. warm water
- 2 pkg. dry yeast or 2 tbls. yeast
- 1/4 cup crisco oil
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg (at room temperature)
- 6 1/2 - 7 c. flour
Preparation
Step 1
Mix dry yeast in warm water until dissolved. Mix sugar, salt, oil and egg. Add yeast. Mix. Add flour gradually. Grease bowl, put bread in bowl. Let rise, punch down once. Let rise, then make into rolls. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes for rolls or for 35 minutes for loaf.
