Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 cup milk
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350°. In medium bowl, cream together sugar and butter by hand with big spoon. With electric mixer, beat in eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla. Combine flour and baking powder in separate bowl. Stir together. Add this dry mixture to creamed mixture. Mix well. Stir in milk until batter is smooth.
Pour or spoon batter into cups. 3/4 full if using muffin pan, 1/2 full if using cookie sheet.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Allow to cool fully before icing.
