Ingredients
- 1 C. corn meal
- 1 C. flour
- 2 T. sugar
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 C. milk
- 1/4 C. shortening
- 1 egg

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 425*.
Grease bottoms of 12 muffin cups. Blend all ingredients about 20 seconds. Beat 1 minute.
Fill muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake 15 minutes; remove muffins from pan immediately.
