Tomatillo-Cilantro Ranch Dressing

I usually double this when we have it with "Sweet Pork" salads.

Ingredients

  • 1 Hidden Valley buttermilk ranch dressing packet
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup mayonnaise (do not use low fat or fat free)
  • 2 tomatillos, husk removed and chopped(usually sold near tomatoes)
  • 1 bunch of cilantro (about 1 cup chopped)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded (You can leave some seeds in if you like it spicier)

Preparation

Step 1

Put all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving too allow flavors to meld, but I like to do it the night before.
