Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 cups powered sugar (divided)
- 5 tbls butter (softened)
- 2 tbls oil
- 2 tbls 2% milk
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp aniseed crushed

Step 1
Preheat oven 350 degrees
1. combine flour, cornstarch & salt in medium, stirring with a whisk
2. beat 3/4 cup sugar, butter, & oil with a mixer at medium speed, beat until light & fluffy. Add milk & vanilla, beat until well blended. Add flour mixture & aniseed, beat at low speed until blended. Chill for 30 mins.
3. shape dough into 2 inch logs, bend logs to form crescent shapes.
4. arrange 1 inch apart, bake for 14mins until edges are golden. Cool on pan for 3mins.
5. sift remaining 1/2 cup sugar into a med. bowl toss warm cookies in sugar to coat.
