Ingredients
- 2 pkgs. dry yeast
- 1/2 C water (110 deg)
- 2 C milk scalded
- 1/4 C sugar
- 1/4 C butter
- 2 t salt
- 7 C sifted flour
- 2 eggs
Preparation
Step 1
1. Soften yeast in warm water. Cool to lukewarm.
2. Combine milk, butter, sugar and salt. Add 2 C flour and beat well. Beat in softened yeast and eggs.
3. Gradually, add ermaining flour to form soft dough, beating well. Cover and let rise in a warm, draft-free place.
4. Turn out on lightly floured surface and shape as desired. Place in pan and let rise again til doubled in size. Bake at 400 deg. about 12 minutes.
5. Option: Brush risen rolls lightly with 1 egg yolk + 2 T milk, sprinkle with sesame seeds, then bake.)
