Layered Casserole *(GOOD)*

Ingredients

  • 1 (15 1/2 ounce) can salmon*
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen carrot slices
  • 3 green onion, chopped
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 3 tablespoon flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 2 teaspoon dill weed
  • 2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoon Parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Melt butter in 1 quart saucepan on range top at medium heat. Stir in flour and herbs. Gradually stir in milk to make a smooth white sauce, stirring until thick. Layer salmon, broccoli and carrots in 1 1 quart round casserole. Pour white sauce over. Sprinkle green onions, Parmesan cheese and bread crumbs over the top.

Bake on rack at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.

*2 cups of sliced chicken or turkey may be substituted for salmon.
