  • 1 cup shortening
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 5 cups flour

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening and sugar together. Add 2 eggs. Set aside. Mix sour cream and baking soda together. Make sure baking soda dissolves. Then add to sugar mixture.

In a separate bowl, mix salt and flour together. Gradually add to above mixture. Form a ball. wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate at one hour or overnight. Roll out and cut to desired shapes. Bake on 425° for 5-7 minutes.
