  • 9

    sheet 9 x 14 phyllo dough

  • non-stick cooking spray (butter flavored)

  • 6

    apples peeled, cored and cut into wedges

  • ¼

    cup surra plus splenda 50-50 mix

  • ½

    teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1

    tablespoon flour

  • juice of ½ lemon

  • course sanding sugar for topping


Preheat oven 375 degrees place apples sugar mjixture spices lemon juice and flour in a bowl and toss to combine. unwrap phyllo package and remove 9 sheets. line baking sheet with parchment paper, place first two sheets phyllo on baking sheet and spray lightly but thoroughly with cooking spray. Place next 2 sheets on top and spray, repeat process until all dough has been stacked and sprayed. Spoon apple mixture lengthwise down center of dough, leaving 3 inches at each end free. Fold two ends up ovre filling then left and right sides making along package. Gently turn over so that seam side is down on the baking sheet. Spray top of strudel with cooking spray and sprinkle liberally with sanding sugar and a pinch or two of cinnamon. Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until top is golden brown. Cool slighting before cutting.
