Ingredients
- 4 lbs pork shoulder chops or chicken pieces (or combo)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1-1 1/2 c chicken broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 pkg sliced mushrooms
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh tomato
- 1/4 cup chopped kalamata olive
- 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
Preparation
Step 1
Trim the excess fat from pork. Heat oil in a 10 or 11-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Brown pork. (I've skipped this when short on time, turns out fine)
2 Place onion then pork in a 12 to 6 quart slow cooker and put broth, mushrooms, garlic, oregano, salt pepper on top (I accid added all ingreds, came out great) Cover cooker and set to low heat setting for 7 hours or high for 4 hours, until pork is tender.
3 Remove pork from cooker and place on a serving platter. Spoon tomatoes, olives and feta on top of pork and serve immediately.
