Ingredients
- 1 cup soft butter (half margaine)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 egg white
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped pecans (chopped medium)
Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter, add sugar, egg yolk 7 vanilla.
Beat well
Add flour, cinnamon & Baking soda (which haben been sifted together several times mixing ingredients thoroughly.
Place mixture in a greased 11 x 16 inch pan.
Flatten with wet hands so as not to stick to hands.
Cover mixture with was paper and place another pan over it and press down to flatten.
Remove wax paper and upper time.
Brush top well with slightly beaten egg white.
Sprinkle with chopped pecans over egg white. Press nuts down a little.
Bake at 325 for 35 to 40 minutes.
Cut while warm.
