Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1/4 lb.)butter or margerine, melted.
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup each mashed ripe bananas(about 3) and all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/3 cup hot water
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Preparation
Step 1
In as large bowl, stir together butter and sugar. Mix in eggs and banana, blending until smooth.
In another bowll, stir together all-purpose flour, salt baking soda, and whole wheat flour until thoroughly blended. Add to banana mixture alternatlely with hot water. Stir in nuts. Sp;oon batter into a greased 9 by 5-inch loaf pan.
Bake in a 325 degree oven for 1 hour. If center comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes; then turn our onto a rack and let cool completely.
