Ingredients
- 1 package English muffins (six muffins)
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1/4 cup finely diced onion
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 8 ounces shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 15-ounce can tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Preparation
Step 1
Brown beef and onion in skillet. Drain. Season with garlic salt and pepper.
Open muffins, place on baking sheet and broil until toasted. Combine tomato sauce, seasonings and salt. Spread 2 tablespoons sauce on each muffin. Divide meat among each muffin; top with cheese. Return to broiler to melt.
NOTE: If using frozen cooked beef, thaw and warm. Season with garlic salt and pepper. Open muffins, place on baking sheet and broil until toasted.
