Poached Egg

Ingredients

  • Eggs
  • Water
  • Salt

Preparation

Step 1

1. Grease a skillet lightly. Fill 1/2 full of water and add a sprinkle of salt. Heat the water to the boiling point.

2. Break egg in a saucer, carefully slide the egg into the hot water. Lower the temperature, cover, cook until the white is set. Hot water may be dipped over the top of the egg if the yolk is to be served hard.

3. Remove the egg with a skimmer to the top of a piece of toast.

4. Place a piece of butter on top and then sprinkle with paprika and pepper.
