Wisconsin Cheddar Muffins
The heart of America's dairy country, Wisconsin, provides many cheese products. Try Wisconsin Cheddar Muffins along with a meal or as a light snack with apples.
- 2 c cake flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 c grated cheddar cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 c milk
- 3 tbsp melted butter
Preparation time 10mins
Cooking time 35mins
Stir together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a large bowl.
Add the cheddar cheese and mix well.
In another bowl, combine and beat well the egg, milk and the melted butter.
Blend the egg mixture together with the dry ingredients, mixing only until moistened.
Spoon into greased muffin cups and bake in a 350 degree F oven for 25 minutes or until brown.
