MATZO BALLS (Jewish Cookbook Grandma's)

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 c water
  • 1/3 c melted shortening
  • 1 tsp salt
  • dash pepper
  • 1 cp matzo meal

Preparation

Step 1

Combine eggs with water, melted shortening, salt & pepper. Mix well. Add mazto meal I stir thoroughly. Let stand 20 min.

Form into ball and drop into soup cook for 20 min.

VARIATIONS: instead of shortening you can use oil & gribitis. Instead of water use the broth from soup.
