Orange Poached Pears with Fudge Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup OJ
  • 1 Orange, sliced into rounds
  • 5 whole cloves
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 4 pears, peeled with stems intact
  • 1 cup prepared fudge topping

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a medium sauce pan combine OJ, sliced oranges, cloves, vanilla and pears.

2. Set pan over high heat and bring to a simmer

3. Warm fudge in a sauce pan or microwave until warm

4. Remove pears from liquid and transfer to serving plates or desert bowls.

5. Remove cloves from the liquid and spoon the liquid over the pears. Then spoon warm fudge over the top.
