Cranberry Scones

Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups flour
  • 2.5 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup chopped cranberries

Preparation

Step 1

Mix 3 dry ingredients in bowl, cut in butter until course crumbles.
Stir in berries and sugar, then buttermilk, just until blended. Cut dough in half. On lightly floured surface with floured hands press 1/2 of dough in 8" circle, cut 8 wedges and bake 1/2 inch apart 12-15 minutes until puffed and lightly browned
