Ingredients

  • 1

    lb. Kale Greens (Leafy portions w/stems only - NO stems only)

  • 1 1/2 to 2

    Cups Water

  • 1

    Tablespoon Sugar (or Agave)

  • 1

    Tablespoon Vinegar (flavored or cider)

  • 1/4

    Teaspoon Baking Soda

  • 1

    Teaspoon Salt

Directions

Add everything except Kale to a medium size pot. Bring mixture to a boil. Add Kale and simmer 30 minutes, stir occasionally. Kale will be a nice green color. You may use 2 bullion (veggie, chicken or beef) to add additional flavor. This recipe can also be used for cabbage as it will take some of the bite out of the flavor. ~LL~ *Note: Prep time is 5 minutes ONLY if you use the precut Kale in the 1 lb. bag. Otherwise, you must clean and cut the Kale which will take longer
