  • 1 3/4 sticks margarine (not butter) Land o Lakes room temp
  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, grated at room temp
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 cups flour plain, not sifted

Step 1

cream margarine and cheese with an electric mixer. Add flour and pepper, and blend until smooth enough to squirt through pastry bag. Bake 15 mins and 30 sec. at 325. If the straws overcook, they will be bitter. Be sure you use margarine that has at least 17 percent fat.
