Ingredients
- 2 C sugar
- 3 1/2 C milk
- 6 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cinnamon stick
Preparation
Step 1
Put 1 C sugar in heavy pan; stir at low heat until liquid turns golden brown.
Pour into 6 custard cups and set aside
Place milk and cinnamon stick in medium sauce pan. Scald milk on medium and allow to cool.
Beat eggs until foamy. Gradually add remaining sugar to eggs and beat well.
Gradually add scalded milk to egg mixture, stirring until sugar dissolves. Add vanilla.
Pour mixture into caramel-lined cups. Place cups in pan of hot water, and bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour 10 minutes.
