Ingredients

  • 2 TBSP oil
  • 1 lb. hot Italian sausage, sliced into 1” chucks
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 medium green pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper (optional)
  • 1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes, NOT drained
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup Kraft Original Barbecue Sauce
  • 1 pound frozen uncooked shrimp, thawed, peeled & w/tails off
  • 2 cups Minute White Rice, uncooked

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a large nonstick skillet heat oil, sausage, onion, green pepper & red pepper, until sausage is no longer pink
2. Add diced tomatoes, chicken broth, barbecue sauce, shrimp & rice
3. Bring to boil and boil for 8 minutes, stirring to make sure it does not stick and/or burn
4. Remove from heat & let stand for 5 minutes
5. Stir before serving
