Ingredients

  • 3/4 of a cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups cooked and drained mashed pinto beans
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 1/2 cups self rising flour
  • 3 cups raw apples, diced
  • 1 1/2 cups raisins
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together butter, sugar and pinto beans. Add eggs and mix well. Add the remaining ingredients and divide batter into three greased and floured 9 inch pans. Bake in preheated oven at 350° for 30 min. or until cake layers test done. Cool before icing

Frosting

3/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

beat together butter, confectioners sugar, milk and vanilla. Add enough milk to make spreading easy
