Ingredients
- 8 slices Sun Maid raisin bread
- 2 med bananas, cut into 1/4" slices
- 1 c milk
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 3 large eggs
- 1/3 c sugar
- 3 T flour
- 2 t vanilla extract
- powdered sugar, optional
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Arrange 4 slices raisin bread in a single layer in a buttered 9" square baking dish. Top with banana slices and remaining bread. Combine milk, cream cheese, eggs, sugar, flour and vanilla in a food processor and blend until smooth. Pour mixture over raisin bread. Let stand 5 mins or cover and chill overnight. Bake on middle shelf of oven until set and top is golden, about 40-45 mins (50-55 if mixture was refrigerated). Let stand 10 mins. Cut French toast into diagonal halves and transfer to plates. Dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
