Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups, 1 bag, chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts, optional

Preparation

Step 1

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl. Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in large mixing bowl. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition; gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand 2 minutes, remove to wire racks to cool completely.

Pan cookie Prepare dough as above. Spread into greased 15 x 10 jelly roll pan. Bake in preheated 375 oven for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown. Cool in pan or wire rack.
