Creamy Philly Maple Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 T butter
  • 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 pkg crem cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 t vanilla or maple flavoured extract
  • 1 1/4 c milk
  • 1/2 c maple syrup(use 1 T for topping)
  • 7 c french bread cubed

Preparation

Step 1

Cook apples in butter for 5 minutes.
Beat cream cheese, eggs and extract in another bowl. Add milk, beat, add syrup beat, add bread, mix slightly. Add the apples, mix slightly.
Pour into 9" greased pan and bake 40 minutes at 375.
Drizzle with 1 T maple syrup and let stand 10 minutes
