Ingredients

  • 6

    tablespoons butter

  • 1/4

    cup powdered sugar

  • 2

    tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1

    egg yolk

  • 1/2

    teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 3/4

    cup all purpose flour

  • 2

    tablespoons Nutella

Directions

1.In a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter and both sugars until smooth. Beat in the yolk and vanilla until light and fluffy. Scrape the bowl if necessary. Gradually beat in the flour. Gather up the dough into a ball and flatten into a disk. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least 1 hour. 2.Preheat the oven to 325F. Have an ungreased cookie sheet ready. 3.On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut into circles with a 2.5 inch round cutter. Gather up the scraps and reroll until all of the dough is gone. You may need to chill the dough 15 minutes if it gets too warm. 4.On one cookie, add 1 teaspoon Nutella in the middle then top with another cookie. Using a fork dipped in flour, seal the edge with a fork. Bake 12-15 minutes or until golden brown on the edges.
