My Mom made this each Christmas and gave it to us in a coffee can that was covered with red and white felt and made to look like Santa’s boot. This really is so simple - no cooking -just melting and mixing.

When I was working, I would share a few batches of the Dark Chocolate version each holiday season.

Ingredients

  • 2 2 2 lbs. chocolate (milk or semi-sweet)
  • 1 12 1 12 1 12 oz. bag mini marshmallows
  • 2 2 2 c. nuts
  • At Christmas I make three different kinds: Dark Chocolate with Nuts; Milk Chocolate with Nuts; Milk Chocolate without Nuts -- something for everyone is our motto.

Preparation

Step 1

Melt chocolate gently in microwave or over double boiler

Mix in marshmallow and nuts.

Put in buttered 13x9 pyrex dish

Chill until firm.

Remove from pyrex in one piece.

Cut on board into 1" pieces.
