Papa in Nevada’s Apple Crisp

Ingredients

  • Fruit Layer:
  • 3-4 3-4 3-4 large apples, sliced
  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 1/4 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • Crisp Layer:
  • 1/4 1/4 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 3/4 3/4 c. flour
  • 2 2 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 3/4 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 3/4 3/4 c. milk
  • 3/4 3/4 3/4 stick melted butter

Preparation

Step 1

Toss fruit with sugar and nutmeg. Layer into a buttered square pyrex dish.

Mix together dry ingredients for crisp layer.

With a fork, stir in milk and butter.

Crumble over fruit.

Bake in 350° oven for 1 hour.
