Ingredients

  • 1 (8.8 ounce) pouch microwaveable precooked long-grain rice
  • Cooking Spray
  • 1/2 cup refrigerated prechopped celery, onion, and bell pepper mix
  • 4 ounces Andouille sausage, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper

Preparation

Step 1

1. Microwave rice according to package directions.

2. Heat a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Coat pan with cooking
spray. Add celery mixture, sausage, and garlic; sauté 5 minutes
or until sausage is browned and vegetables are tender. Remove from
heat. Stir in rice, parsley, salt, and ground red pepper.

Serving size: 1/2 cup.
