Ingredients
- Filling:
- 5 1/2 cups flour
- 1 c sugar
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 pound butter(3 sticks)
- 1/2 c crisco
- 3 beaten eggs
- 1/2 c chopped pecans
- 2 tlbs milk
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 4 12 oz jars Red Rasberry Preserve (other flavor if you wish) You can use half of one flavor and half of another.
- Need two cookie sheet pans, 15 1/2 by 10 1/2 by 1 inch deep.
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350
Mix flour and baking powder, set aside.
Cream butter, crisco and sugar. Add beaten eggs and mix. Add flour mixture and blend. Divide dough into four parts.
Spread 1/4 dough into cookie sheet, repeat with second sheet. Spread preserve on dough. Sprinkle with choped peans on top of preserves. Latice remaing dough on top of preserves. Mix milk and vanilla and brush on top of cookies.
Bake at 3e50 for 30 to 35 minutes.
