Ingredients

  • 1 bag (32 oz.) frozen hashbrown potatoes (southern style)
  • 1 pt. (16 oz.) sour cream (optional)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 2 c. crushed cornflakes
  • 2 c. grated (shredded) cheese (1 c. cheddar & 1 c. mozzarella or 2 c. cheddar)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 sticks softened butter

Step 1

Defrost potatoes overnite in refrigerator. Combine with 1 stick butter, salt, pepper, onion, soup, sour cream & cheese. Blend well.

Put in 9x13 pan.

Combine 1/2 stick melted butter with crushed cornflakes. Sprinkle over top.

Bake at 350 for 45 min. to 1 hour or until top is brown.
