Ingredients

    Tbsp olive oil

  • 4

    porkchops fat trimmed

  • 1/2

    tsp salt

  • fresh ground black pepper

  • 1/2

    tsp oregano

  • 1

    large onion cut in thin rings

  • 1

    28 oz can whole tomatoes (break them up)

  • 2

    Tbsp brown sugar

  • 1

    cup grated parmesan cheese

Directions

Heat oven to 350 degree Season pork chops with salt and pepper. Add oil to a pan and fry pork chops until nicely browned. Put chops in casserole dish that will hold them in one layer. Top chops with onions, then tomatoes, oregano and brown sugar. Cover and bake for one hour. Take cover off and top with parmesan cheese and return to oven for another 15 minutes uncovered. Great served with mashed potatoes and a vegetable of your choosing.
