Ingredients
- tsp. Five-Spice powder or to make:
- 3-4 lb. chicken, cut into pieces (amazing on thighs)
- 1/2 c. soy sauce
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 tsp. minced ginger
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. allspice
- 1/4 tsp. crushed anise seed
- 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
Preparation
Step 1
Mix together soy sauce, onions,garlic and spice.

Marinate chicken for 3-4 hours.

Drain, but save marinade, and arrange chicken in a shallow greased pyrex dish.

Pour a little marinade over the chicken.

Bake in 325° oven for 45 minutes to an hour or until tender. Turn chicken over and baste once.
